Resume keywords for a Sales Executive
Sales resumes are read for one thing before anything else: did you hit quota, and how big was it. Everything else on the page is context. Yet a surprising number of sales resumes describe activities and never state a target or an attainment figure.

A checklist tells you what the market asks for. Paste an actual job description and your resume to see which of these terms you are already covering and which you are not — free, and the resume never leaves your browser.
Run the checkHow to evidence these on the page
- State quota and attainment together: "₹2.4Cr annual quota, 118% attainment for two consecutive years". Attainment without the quota is meaningless.
- Give the deal size and cycle length. Selling ₹50k deals in two weeks is a different job from ₹50L deals over nine months, and hiring managers filter on exactly this.
- Rank yourself if you can — "top 3 of 40 reps" is the strongest single line available to a salesperson.
- Name the CRM and the segment. "Enterprise SaaS" and "inside sales" are screened as distinct motions.
What gets these resumes rejected
- Listing responsibilities like prospecting and demos with no revenue attached, which reads as a rep who missed.
- Round, unverifiable claims such as "grew sales by 200%" with no base figure.
A caution about keyword stuffing
Every term above is worth including only if it is true of you. Padding a resume with unearned keywords gets you into interviews you then fail, which is worse than not being shortlisted. Use this as a prompt to surface experience you already have and forgot to write down — not as a list to copy.
